isPermaLink="false">http://en.presidencia.gob.mx/?p=13767</guid> <description><![CDATA[The biodiversity we see today is the result of billions of years of evolution, shaped by natural processes and human influence.]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Biological diversity </strong>or<strong> biodiversity</strong> is the term used to refer to the wide variety of life on Earth and the natural patterns it forms.</p><p>The biodiversity we see today is the result of<strong> billions of years</strong> of evolution, shaped by natural processes and human influence.</p><p>The theme of <strong>International Biodiversity Day 2013</strong> is Water and Biodiversity, chosen to coincide with the United Nations’ decision to declare 2013 International Year of Water Cooperation. The theme highlights the importance of the role of biodiversity and ecosystems in guaranteeing water security and therefore sustainable development.</p><p>The <strong>UN General Assembly</strong>, under resolution 55/201 of December 20, 2000, proclaimed May 22 International Day for Biological Diversity, as a means of increasing the understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues.</p><p><strong>Mexico</strong> is a <strong>megadiverse</strong> country, hence the importance of publicizing and preserving that biodiversity.</p><a

We are assigning significant resources to public policies for dealing with the effects of <strong>climate contingencies</strong> on livestock.</p><p>My support is not only intended to meet climate contingencies such as drought, or the difficulties of everyday life; the government will also help farmers boost their growth, development and success.</p><p>The NDP assumed the commitment of promoting the productivity of the agri-food sector through investment in the development of physical, human and technological capital.</p><p>It&#8217;s time to join forces and work for the country’s transformation into an <strong>Inclusive and Prosperous Mexico</strong>. He was a statesman who defended and strengthened the country’s institutional, republican and democratic life.</p><p>He created the <strong>Constitutionalist Army</strong> as a patriotic response to those who had betrayed the Republic. This armed institute was created to restore the institutional order and uphold the public will following the cowardly assassination of President Francisco I. Madero.</p><p>In the 21st century, the ideals of justice, freedom, equality and development promoted by the<strong> Mexican Revolution</strong> continue to promote our unity and hope. For this reason, it was an honor to lead the concert and gala dinner to mark the <strong>Centennial of the Creation of the Mexican Army</strong>.</p><p>As President and <strong>Supreme Commander</strong> of the Armed Forces, I acknowledge the loyal, disciplined and patriotic performance of the soldiers of Mexico. isPermaLink="false">http://en.presidencia.gob.mx/?p=13707</guid> <description><![CDATA[The National Development Plan establishes the Government’s commitment to scientific and technological development and innovation, the pillars of sustainable economic and social progress.]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The National Development Plan establishes the Government’s commitment to scientific and technological development and innovation, the pillars of sustainable economic and social progress.</p><p>To this end, the Plan contains 5 Strategies:</p><ul><li>First, contribute to the <strong>annual growth of national investment in scientific research and technological development</strong> so that it achieves a level of 1% of GDP.</li><li>Second, contribute to the<strong> training and strengthening of high-level human capital</strong>.</li><li>Third, promote the <strong>development of vocations and scientific, technological and local innovation capacities</strong> to strengthen sustainable, inclusive regional development.</li><li>Fourth, contribute to the <strong>transfer and use of knowledge </strong>by linking higher education institutions and research centers to public, social and private sectors.</li><li>Fifth, contribute to the <strong>strengthening of the country’s scientific and technological infrastructure</strong>.</li></ul><p>Through these strategies, Mexico will be able to take advantage of the talent, skill and inventiveness of its scientists and technologists, by linking their work to areas of productive opportunity.</p> ]]></content:encoded> <wfw:commentRss>http://en.presidencia.gob.mx/5-strategies-for-scientific-and-technological-development/feed/</wfw:commentRss> <slash:comments>0</slash:comments> </item> </channel> </rss>
