He was a statesman who defended and strengthened the country’s institutional, republican and democratic life.</p><p>He created the <strong>Constitutionalist Army</strong> as a patriotic response to those who had betrayed the Republic. This armed institute was created to restore the institutional order and uphold the public will following the cowardly assassination of President Francisco I. Madero.</p><p>In the 21st century, the ideals of justice, freedom, equality and development promoted by the<strong> Mexican Revolution</strong> continue to promote our unity and hope. For this reason, it was an honor to lead the concert and gala dinner to mark the <strong>Centennial of the Creation of the Mexican Army</strong>.</p><p>As President and <strong>Supreme Commander</strong> of the Armed Forces, I acknowledge the loyal, disciplined and patriotic performance of the soldiers of Mexico. Teachers in Mexico have all our respect, admiration and affection.</p><p>Therefore, for the first time ever, <strong>quality education</strong> is an explicit national goal, as important as overcoming poverty, achieving swift, sustained growth or achieving a peaceful Mexico.</p><p>In order to advance in this direction, as part of the Pact for Mexico, the ABC of Educational Reform was proposed, which was made possible through the support of the main political forces, lawmakers and citizens.<br
/> This reform strengthens public education, since<strong> it confirms</strong> the compulsory, secular and free nature of state education.</p><p>L et no-one attempt to mislead society:education will not be privatized or concessioned.
